Baltimore Rowing Boat
This is probably our favorite paint job of 2015.
The Baltimore Rowing Club is right down the street from our shop so we have become very close with the team and the rowers. One of their boats is an early 2000’s Vespoli Eight. It is a lightweight hull that gets a lot of use.
I remember walking past it every time I went to the club and thought to myself “man, this boat needs to get tricked out.”
As we entered the summer racing season we had 3 weeks of open shop space to repaint and refurbish the entire hull of the boat. I was able to convince the club to invest in a new paint job – unlike any one they have ever seen before. A matte black finish with yellow and red deck trim.
Baltimore has many deep rooted passions and traditions. The color of the Maryland flag is strong and proud.
I worked with our new painter and Dan to come up with the best design…the end result is something spectacular. The water beads off the boat. The decks looks flawless and people tell us the boat looks like a 2012 – we took at least 8 years off this girls life.
There hasn’t been a single person UNHAPPY with the job.
